Fraser Dawbarns personal injury specialist, Neil John has succeeded in settling £17,500 for the claim of a local lady who fractured her wrist and her elbow after falling on a broken pavement. The claim was brought against the local County Council who had responsibility for the upkeep of the pavement.
Neil says: “With priority having rightly been given to safe delivery of Councils’ essential services during the pandemic, the road and maintenance programme has suffered in some areas. This does mean that there is likely to be a rise in claims from those who are injured as a result of falling while walking on our local pavements or cycling on our county’s roads”.
