Neil John, who heads the personal injury claim team at Fraser Dawbarns, has obtained a settlement of £175,000 for a Norfolk man following an accident at work. The man slipped on a wet floor and hit his head on a hard work surface. This resulted in minor internal bleeding which in turn has affected his ongoing cognitive abilities. He has also suffered partial hearing loss as a result of the incident.
Neil explains: “Although our client is still able to work and to live a largely normal life, his cognitive abilities have been impaired to the extent that he is no longer able to perform the same level of role as previously and therefore much of his compensation relates to current and future loss of earnings. It is always important when an injury is sustained to obtain professional medical reports and ensure that any injury claim takes account of the long-term position that someone will be in following their injury.”
