Fraser Dawbarns Solicitor Amy Wins Global Award

Every year, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) holds their annual Excellence Awards, celebrating the highest achieving individuals gaining STEP qualifications around the world.

STEP is a global professional body of lawyers, accountants, trustees and other practitioners that help families plan for their futures. The STEP qualification is considered the benchmark for specialist knowledge and is recognised by many governments, regulators and international bodies.

The STEP Excellence Awards recognise the top-scoring students at distinction level per STEP exam or assignment, recognising the highest-scoring graduates and Fraser Dawbarns are very pleased to congratulate our trust specialist Amy Pettitt, for achieving an Excellence Award for the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes. This certificate covers trustee powers, recognising sham and defective trusts, corporate issues, cross-border jurisdiction and more.

Amy joined Fraser Dawbarns in 2012 from another local firm to specialise in private client work and has subsequently specialised further into taxation and trusts. Amy is very pleased to have been recognised in the 2020 Excellence Awards:

“I enrolled on the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trust Disputes to broaden my knowledge of this complex area and improve my confidence in managing the firm’s trust files. I found the course very challenging and I was delighted to have passed with a distinction last year. I still cannot believe that I have been awarded a STEP Excellence Award. I am extremely proud of this achievement and grateful for the support given to me by Fraser Dawbarns while I was studying”.
