Staff Testimonials

Our staff testimonials give a first-hand insight into what it is like being employed by Fraser Dawbarns. You can read the full quotes from our staff here:

“Fraser Dawbarns is a modern, friendly and forward-thinking firm, yet retains old-fashioned values where everyone is treated as an individual person, and the Partners are friends, not just employers.

The firm offers many opportunities for progression, whether that be supporting those who have recently obtained their Law Degree through their practical training via the LPC, progression through the CILEx Law School route to becoming a Chartered Legal Executive, Council for Licensed Conveyancer training or one of our newer apprenticeship schemes.

The offices are professional, but relaxed and friendly, where everyone is very welcoming. If ever a “life emergency” occurs, whether that be a sick child or a broken-down boiler, the Partners work with their staff to find a way forward which will accommodate both work and home life – that might mean flexible hours, working from home or a short-notice holiday. This has been demonstrated countless times during the recent pandemic.

It is lovely to work at a Firm where you as a person feel like you matter all of the time, not just 9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday, where ideas and opinions are always welcomed and taken on board, and where you can approach any one of the senior management team with a concern or worry without fear of reproach.”

- Kirsty, Associate Legal Executive (July 2019 - Present)

“For a long time I thought there was no point in moving jobs because all law firms are the same. I was wrong, they are not. Moving to Fraser Dawbarns has been such a great career and life decision for me. As a Solicitor working in a busy department, I often felt that my work life balance was not where I wanted it to be. I am a mum to two young children and felt constantly guilty about missing out on time with them. Most other firms were not open to part-time working arrangements or flexi-time. Fraser Dawbarns were very quick to agree to the hours I proposed, as well as two work from home days a week. Consequently, I feel a much greater sense of balance and I know I can be available to my children when they need me. I get to be a playground mum as well as a career woman. Fraser Dawbarns have been very flexible; I can alter my work from home days if I need to or work from home if one of the children are poorly to avoid having to just ‘call in sick’.

I have never felt so well supported in any other job role, my immediate colleagues, wider team, and head of department are all extremely approachable, there are no ‘stupid questions’. The ethos is very much geared towards cohesive learning and development, without the isolation or pressure that often comes with career progression. I am part of a team at Fraser Dawbarns.

Fraser Dawbarns offer competitive salaries as well as other perks such as medical cover and a bit more annual leave than I have been used to elsewhere. The partners are very thoughtful of their employees for Christmas and other occasions such as anniversaries of service and retirement. As employees we matter."

- Kim, Solicitor (December 2020 - Present)

“I have worked for Fraser Dawbarns LLP for just over 6 years. I initially started at Fraser Dawbarns as a receptionist at our March office and then started working as a legal secretary in the Civil Litigation Department. I am now working in the Private Client Department at our Wisbech office, where I am now studying for my Paralegal apprenticeship. My experience is an example of how there are many opportunities for training and career progression. The firm are very flexible with working from home if I need to rather than being in the office.

I love working for Fraser Dawbarns, they have built up my confidence in what I do and have seen potential in me to help me progress further in the law firm which I never thought I would ever do. The firm and my colleagues are a joy to work with and I am very lucky to be able to say, “I love my job”.”

- Paige, Legal Secretary (July 2015 - Present)

“Fraser Dawbarns LLP is a great firm to work for with many staff benefits which include a Healthcare scheme for staff and their families. I started out as an office junior on reception and have since worked my way up to be an integral part of the admin team. The firm always looks out for the needs of its staff, and I could not wish to work for a better firm.”

- Kelly-Anne, Practice Support Administrator (August 2003 - Present)

“This was my first job and I was nervous to begin with but everyone here was so nice and welcoming that I felt like part of the team straight away. Everyone here is very kind and I genuinely feel as if they care and are looking out for one another. I have been given the opportunity to see how the firm works and this is something I have very much appreciated as it has helped me to consider my next career move in a company that I have very much enjoyed working for so far. ”

- Harry, Administration Assistant (September 2022 - Present)

"Since starting my apprenticeship with Fraser Dawbarns LLP, I've never looked back. I thoroughly enjoy being an apprentice and I feel as though it is the best decision I could have made for my career. Daily hands-on experience has been hugely beneficial in improving and developing both my personal and professional skills, whilst having the benefits of a strong supporting workforce and earning a regular income."

- Alice, Apprentice (September 2021 - Present)
