Neil John, a personal injury specialist solicitor at Fraser Dawbarns, has obtained a settlement of a little over £20,000 for a local client who suffered injuries to his shoulder during a road collision. The client was driving when another car hit his vehicle from the side.
Neil comments: “The client is self-employed in a manual job that requires him to be physically fit. While his shoulder injuries are now fully recovered, he was unable to work for a substantial period. Much of his settlement was therefore to ensure that he was not out of pocket during this time. It is often the case that self-employed people are left in a more difficult short-term position if they suffer an injury than those who are employed by someone else.”
