Helen Jarvis is a Chartered Legal Executive and Partner in the Conveyancing department, based in the March office. Helen specialises in all aspects of residential property and is particularly focused on the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages, purchase of building plots and land, as well as transfer of equities and the first registration of titles to property.

Helen helps a wide range of people with their property transactions. Her clients include first time buyers whom she takes the time to guide through the excitement of purchasing their own home, through to elderly couples who are downsizing or moving back near their family. Helen also acts for investment buyers and developers. Helen has a number of clients who she has helped move from property to property over the years.

Helen particularly enjoys the variety involved within her work as well as working with her clients and colleagues. Helen’s clients can expect a friendly and straight-forward person who is easy to communicate with and explains all legal aspects in layman terms.

After obtaining the London Chamber of Commerce Private Secretary’s certificate, Helen started working at Cauthery, Waterman and Cheetham in January 1995 as secretary for Tony Cheetham. Tony offered Helen the opportunity to train as a Legal Executive which Helen was very keen to do. Helen studied the correspondence course while she was working full time and raising a young baby.

Helen qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2008 and came to Fraser Dawbarns as a result of the merger between Frasers, Dawbarns Pearson and Waterman Cheetham. In 2017, Helen was made a partner of the firm.

Outside work, Helen enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and reading.
