Michelle Atkins is an Associate Solicitor in the Commercial department, based in the Wisbech office. Michelle specialises in all aspects of Commercial Property, with a particular interest in sales and purchases and acting for landlords and tenants, assisting them with leases of shops, offices and industrial units. Michelle works with a wide range of clients, from corporate investors with an extensive portfolio of commercial premises to independent businesses taking on their first lease as they start their business.
Michelle is particularly happy when she gets to make a difference for a client, especially when her advice helps them to save time, money and stress! Michelle’s clients can expect great value from a commercially astute solicitor with an intuitive awareness of the needs of a business. Michelle will ensure that a client clearly understands what they are taking on.
Michelle studied Law at Sheffield Hallam University, and completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Sheffield.
After gaining her LPC, Michelle completed her training contract at a large regional firm, working across their various offices, qualifying as a solicitor in September 2009. In 2010, Michelle moved to a commercial law firm in Cambridge, becoming a director in June 2015. Michelle joined Fraser Dawbarns in June 2021.
After finishing Law School, but before starting her first job in the law, Michelle lived in Thailand where she taught English as a Foreign Language. Michelle taught 900 students divided into classes of 60, and spent a year travelling around Thailand, learning the language and the culture. Thanks to her year abroad, Michelle makes a great Thai curry.
Outside work, Michelle loves exploring new places and having new experiences with her toddler, she also enjoys taking on DIY projects around her home and garden. Michelle enjoys organising charitable and fundraising events.
