Fraser Dawbarns is delighted to announce that Sarah Lamb has been appointed as the new Head of its regional Private Client team. This appointment is very much a success story for Sarah and for the firm in terms of nurturing and developing internal talent. Sarah joined the firm over 25 years ago in a legal secretarial role and has risen through the ranks over the years to her current position.
Sarah joined Fraser Dawbarns in 1996, having never worked in a law firm before, and 18 months later began her Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) training, sponsored and encouraged by the firm. She completed her training and became a member of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2003, going on to become a Fellow of the Institute in 2005. In 2013, she achieved her ambition to become a partner in Fraser Dawbarns. This followed a change in the rules to allow Chartered Legal Executives to become business owners alongside Solicitors in firms regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
Sarah says: “I quickly realised after joining the firm that I wanted to be able to meet clients and help them to protect their family’s assets, rather than being the person doing the administrative aspects after someone else had offered them advice. I’m very pleased now to have achieved not only that goal but to be given the opportunity to lead our team as it continues to grow and go from strength to strength across the region. It is very rewarding to know that the work you are doing is giving families peace of mind as well as potentially saving them from paying unnecessary Inheritance Tax.”
Iain Grimes, Managing Partner at Fraser Dawbarns, comments: “We always seek to encourage home grown talent and Sarah’s journey to her current role is a perfect example of how we do this and what someone can achieve if they have the determination and skills to do so. In addition to being an excellent lawyer, Sarah is well placed to be a team leader and mentor to others who are now in positions that she has held previously. Congratulations Sarah!”
